Our Saturday night out was to listen to the Surrey based "Vivace Chorus" choir singing Verdi's Requiem, at Guildford Cathedral, Surrey. The performance was dedicated to the memory of the soldiers who died in the wars ... Verdi's Requiem says: "grant them eternal rest, Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon them" (well, it was sung in operatic in Latin - and I couldn't understand it, so the programme came in mighty handy!) As you watch, I ask two things of you: Please spare a thought for those who gave up their lives for the blessings you now enjoy. And, on 11th November at 11am, whatever you happen to be doing at the time, please pause for 2 minutes silence in remembrance of those brave men who suffered (and continue to do so even to this day) on your behalf. angelwithabullet goes to london with anitagx ... we went (primarily) to see elizabeth 1st tomb. but you'll see what happened when we got there. anyhow, take a walk with us - have a gigaround to britney and madonna - oh and mozart too ... by the way - if you know the answer to the question that anitagx posed near westminster abbey, then let us know ... we were flumoxed! oh err - if you'd like to see any more bits of london, just ask which bits you want to see, and we'll go there at your request! but it has to cost under £20 each - as this one was that cheap (£4 parking near heathrow, £6 tube all zones, £2.50 pub snack = £12.50 - we took our own sandwiches). we enjoyed it, hope you do too - i must say, for some strange reason, it was a bit 'empty' of people though! kx

a blocked junction on the m25 led to the m3 being snarled up. those of us caught up in it had to take two and a half hours to travel ten measley miles. because the travelling wasn't very captivating, hope the music holds your attention!

'Ave a Larf' at my expense. This is an order - "have a larf!!!" A couple of months ago, I suggested to girl on another video channel that we put a video together - dancing to a Britney video ... well, I've stuck to my part of the 'bargain' .... What you're gonna see is a funny girl exercising to the beautiful Britney beat - and it is meant to bring a smile to your face - or a chuckle or two. I was terribly tempted to litter it with 'quotes' - but then thought I'd leave it as it is. Listen to the words of the song together with the irony in the message versus my exercise routine ... IF YOU WANT TO UNDERSTAND MORE ... PLEASE READ: In the ebb and flow of life ... do you stop to stand and stare? Do you take pleasure in the little things that seemingly pass you by, on your path through a life that leads towards a world that we don't know or understand? Although not intentional, this video seemed to fall into pl ace perfectly for me. I liked all the contrasts between the words of the song and the images. Without going too deep in depth about it, here's some of my thoughts ... In any other world - you could tell the difference 'let it all unfurl' as the bird flew across the water 'smile like you mean it' next to the weeping willow 'and let yourself let go' as the camera passes trees rooted to the spot even the transition as Mica says 'into broken ...' broke. 'say goodbye to the world you thought you lived in' next to all the road signs - the rules and regulations and signs we come across on our life path 'lonely lonely heart' next to the 'humps' signs (means sex to many!). And the 'heart' on the image of flowers behind a fence 'so human as I am' on the image of an animal ... 'i had to give up my defences' as buddy looked round and I went under the trees 'so i smiled and tried to mean it' shaky as though I'm scared to move on ... 'Say goodbye to the world you thought you lived in' next to the war memorial ... and clock on the church walls which is held together with steel plates - as though it's going to fall down - with the branches of the tree that looks like its dead And all those stone/concrete grave markers - telling us where those people's spirits lay ... And finally, at the end, there's the image of the path ... do we choose to walk along it? I also liked the fact that even though most of the plants were dead after the winter break, everything seems as though it's about to spring into life. We think this world is set in stone ... solid and unmovable - just like the gravestones. Have you ever noticed how fluid it really is? As our spirits are. We all think our lives are mapped out for us and we cannot escape the world we live within ... but if we just let go - even if only for a minute or two, we can let go of the world that we think we live in. Whenever I come across a memorial, I always say "hello" and "thanks" to the boys who gave the ultimate sacrifice - so that I could have my freedom. I'm grateful to them. While coping with the madness that this world seemingly hands to us, I made this video for those who want to stop and stare for a moment or two. On another point, does anyone know how I get better quality video? It's actually an excellent quality image when I film it and put it on Easy Media Creator - even when I view it large on the screen everything is in perfect focus - but as soon as I upload it to this site, the quality goes kaput! Any hints/tips would be appreciated.

Because this is the third tragic death I've had news of this year, I felt a tremendous need to say something about it and the way the world is today. Major Olmsted is a shining example of how a member of the human race can be. He's a fine young American man, who had tremendous compassion in his heart and I thank him and all the other serving men and women of the world - including those fighting against our nations, for they are only doing their duty too (Christmas in the trenches of WW1 should have given you that insight). I'm not apologising for this video even though it is a little on the lengthy side - as well as there being no special effects, no music and no quick scene changes - the ticking clock was an accident as it was placed too near the video. But as it's all been done in one take, I thought it was apt for the content ('meant to be', so to speak). But I do apologise for the odd clang in the background - my budgie is to blame. So, if you get bored easily, I'm not apologising. Just feel free to click off and move on to something more lighthearted.
