My friend Paul Wilson wanted to have a loop of the dancing family from the 1950's General Electric "Live Better Electrically" campaign. He found it on a YouTube upload. After I downloaded, converted, and then looped the dance segment of the video, I thought to myself, "I'd like to see this more pristine". So breaking the dance cycle into its 12 component frames as JPEGs, I proceeded to reconstruct the characters in Photoshop. Yeah, I probably could have done it in Flash, but I think that doing it this way preserves the "filmy" look of the animation, whereas Flash animations, with rare exceptions, tend to look...well..."Flash"-y, for lack of a better word. Anyway...You can't watch this deliriously happy Mid-Century Modern cartoon family and be depressed. LOL

Test footage of the Tyrant's hometown volcano, for the movie "EMPIRE HIGHWAY". The townspeople worship an ancient volcano god named La'Vah, who, it turns out, is an actual supernatural being who lives inside the mountain. The volcano itself is just a piece of artwork I very quickly whipped up in Photoshop, but I'll probably build the volcano as a physical model for the actual movie. The lava effects will most likely still be composited animation. Please forgive my horrendous misspelling of "TyrantUlania". Ugh!! I'm also kinda giddy today because I learned a new trick in MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 14: how to create more complex motion paths for video using the "Movement" feature. That's how I created the shaky-cam slow zoom on the caldera.

Las Ta-Tas, Tyrantulania's bizarro counterpart to Las Vegas is the backdrop for act three of the first Tyrannovision movie "Empire Highway". Having been to the real Las Vegas, it was a bit of a disappointment, so Las Ta-tas is a way of creating what might be MY "ultimate" Las Vegas. Part of this is restoring, in my own comedic way, the classic colossal resort signs from the past that, sadly, no longer stand in present-day Vegas. Also included are various neon signs for nightclubs and shows that pepper the Strip in the movie. This video starts out as old "newsreel" footage, then segues to the full-color animation of the signs.
