The Story: After Megaman X6, things were quite peaceful. Suddenly, there was an attack on the Maverick Hunters' base. During the attack, the Hunters' leader, Megaman X, was taken to the Maverick HQ, where they infected him with the Sigma virus, while giving him incredible power, made him into a Maverick. 2 weeks later, there was another attack, but this time Zero was captured. He, originally being a Maverick, was not as easy to get on their side, as he was immune to the mental effects of the Sigma virus. The Mavericks put him into idle and dumped him into a virtual world of Megaman X5, but this time was a little different. No matter what the Maverick Hunters did, the space colony Eurasia wouldn't be damaged or slow in it's collision course with the Earth. Once the colony crashed, the true, more powerful, Maverick Zero was awakened. After this, he was pulled back into the real world. Although his power has been greatly increased, the other Mavericks still thought him to be too weak, so they injected a very large amount of the Sigma virus into his body. The power gained was so great that the color of his body changed. Now both at full power, the newly Maverick X and Zero are put to the test.
