Is this - gasps! It's a Maiko video! From me! I am disgusted at myself. Okay, not really. I heard this song ( having been in love with the soundtrack of the musical ever since my parents gave to me as a present many, many centuries ago...) again recently and to me, it screamed: MAIKO!! Dark, evil, twisted Maiko, the way only Maiko can be*. The story is simple to those who don't really know the context of the song. Mai is in love with Zuko - in fact they're betrothed, have been since childhood. But by now Zuko is falling in love with Katara and Mai isn't too happy. So in this song she gives him a choice: he can have Katara (and lose out on riches he will gain through the marriage) or he can have her... if he kills Katara. Will he? Won't he? I'm thinking of doing a follow up to this with another song from the musical *Torn Apart* from Zuko's POV - but I want to wait until I might get Song Vegas as there's this one particular effect I want to use... A Hakoda/Katara video, inspired by <I>Scurvied</I>'s Disney version of the same song over on YouTube. A lot of implied Kataang but that was because there a nil clips of Zuko dancing with Katara. Sparring, I thought, didn't really count. You can't really look in love with someone when you're fighting them, especially the way Katara fights. <I>zutarataangkataang</I> on YouTube recently asked me if I could make a video of Demi Lovato’s song *Get Back*. I was losing out on ideas for a while and thought it could be a good idea so here it is! It’s only a preview though as the ending is proving a little bit tricky. In Honour of Lu Ten… The titles just says it all, doesn’t it? Anyway, a video dedicated to my favourite Avatar character of all time - Lu Ten! Son of Iroh, Grandson of Azulon, Cousin of Zuko and Azula and supposedly killed in the Siege of Ba Sing Se. And hence, hideously and unfairly underused. But I’m afraid I’m one of those people who just can’t accept it. Yep, folks, I believe LU TEN IS NOT DEAD. That was one of my reasons. Another was that I commented on a completely wonderful Zutara video of BlackFire13’s and mentioned how I’d always seen this song connected with Lu Ten. She suggested I try it myself. A short video because, admit it, this song suits Zutara down to the ground. Zuko stubbornly standing alone, Katara prejudiced because of her own personal history.... Story line… Katara walks away from Zuko and he reflects how he has to always stand alone because he’ll never be truly accepted by her or her people because of his Nation and his position as Prince. I admit it was because of AVAGeek’s earlier videos - when I saw what she did with only WMM, I grew so ashamed. So that was enough of a kick up the ass I needed to going moving on my video making and trying to improve my WMM skills! An Avatar Trailer parody of *Elizabeth: The Golden Age*. 1585. The Water Tribe Armada are set to invade Fire Nation shores. Soon the army of Avatar Aang will be invincible. Only Azula, the Fire Lord stands in their way. With the wise counsel of Iroh and the support of Zuko, will she be enough alone to defend her nation and defeat the ruthless enemy? Oay, I admit it, I should have been working on other projects but inspiration struck when I saw this trailer. It was electric! And who else but the indomitable Azula to stand in as Elizabeth the First of England? An unusual trailer, I think, as most of the trailers/videos protray Azula as the ENEMY. With CAPITALS. Okay, here’s a preview to one of the MEGA-videos I’m planning: Keep Holding On. It’s a kind of tribute to the Season Finale. I was flicking through my iTunes one day and played it and BANG! It hit me about how this is almost the theme of the Gaang, particularly for the finale: to keep holding on, through all the friendships and keep fighting for Aang and for the world. The opening bit is showing how Aang sees his other past lives and their power and is scared that he’d not live up to that and fail… Tell me what you think! It’s short but (I think) kind of sweet!

I had the best fun with this video. Partially inspired by irishgal487’s *Nicest Kids in Town* video (which is extremely good, watch it!), it features SOKKA as CORNY COLLINS. What can I say, Sokka is one of the best characters for presenting and singing these type of things. To be honest no other character occurred to me. I used a few different things in this video (loads of transitions, yay!) but they’re a secret… Watch it and find out! Anything else? Oh yes. The groups of people in grey (including Kyoshi warriors, Kyoshi townspeople and Joo Dees) are the choruses. Apart from that, I hope you enjoy this video and that it makes you laugh a little!

Oh. My. God. You wouldn’t believe the trouble I had with the saving of this video. First I saved normally and there were huge blank, black spaces. And since I appreciate my viewers (suck-up, that’s me, lol) here I refused to let that happen. So then, I saved it in three separate parts and tried to stick them all together. Again - nil. So I had to go back and make countless versions of it to cut out the blank spots! Aaargh! Well, background. This is the part where I ramble! Yay! Rambling is fun! (so fun, I’ve started already…) Someone over on You Tube (I’m sorry if I’ve forgotten your name! Trust me, you were the kick-up that I needed to try this!) suggested to me to try and make a modern trailer, since I seemed to be a bit stuck in historical ones. So I looked around… and found She’s The Man. Initially, I liked the story plus the trailer was fun - I loved the amount of transitions in it and the effects. So it gave me a chance to explore WMM a bit and see what I could do. There are a few effects in this trailer and I really tried to explore with my transitions -no more fade for me, no siree! So here’s the trailer and the cast…. Squeee! It’s done! It’s finally, finally done! I’m so proud! I’m so happy! Hah-ha… Yeah, I’m delirious. But it worked out! All the clips worked out perfectly - even the Boiling Rock ones and it looks - dare I say it? - okay. Aaaah! Lol! But anyway, the brief outline. Yes, it’s the *Gladiator* trailer with Avatar. To anyone <I>not</I> familiar with the storyline of Gladiator, it’s about a General who refused to support the new Emperor of Rome (because he believed the new Emperor killed his own father) and is condemned to die. But then he escapes and is captured as a slave. Sold to an ex-Gladiator, he joins the gladiator school and soon becomes famous, travelling to Rome to fight in the Colluseum and coming face to face with his old enemy once more. For the epic part of Maximus… Who else other than Zuko could take on that role? Okay and as for the shipping… Katara is the wife of Maximus who was killed by the Roman soldiers after Maximus was condemned to die. Mai is the sister of the new Emperor who is half in love with Maximus since childhood. And yes. Aang is meant to be Mai’s son. Enjoy! And please don’t forget to comment!

Phew!! It’s finally finished. Finally, finally finished. The addiction is over… Yes, you might have guessed. This is my first Avatar trailer/cross-over. Thanks to the information supplied by brilliantlygreen (Thank you, thank you, thank you!) I was finally able to download movie audio and start making trailers with it. So I chose - The Other Boleyn Girl. And here is a summary. Two sisters, Anne (Mai) and Mary (Katara) Boleyn, are driven by their ambitious Father (General Fong) and Uncle (Long Feng) to advance the family's power and status by courting the affections of the King of England (Zuko). Initially Zuko falls for Katara - but then Mai returns and schemes to become Queen, stealing Zuko from her sister. But then everything goes wrong… You wouldn’t believe the problems I had with this… It did my head in just to think about it but trailers are so addicting, I couldn’t stop. Ballad of a Teenage Queen - a video I thought would never see the public light of day… Until I made an amazing discovery… The story’s simple to follow - Katara falls in love with Jet, they’re going to get MARRIED! and then Aang turns up with offers of stardom. Katara agrees, leaves Jet and moves to Ba Sing Se (aka Hollywood!). But after a while she misses her old old town and most of all - Jet. So what does this crazy-in-love Water Bender do? I’ve always seen the Northern Water Tribe rather like the Native Americans in the film Pocahontas. So since I love the music of the film I decided to make this video from one of my favourite songs - Steady as a Beating Drum. Combining my favourite show with my favourite song - what could possibly go wrong? A lot, apparently. First of all, I realised how difficult it is to fit suitable (major word here) clips from the show into the video. Because in the Northern Water Tribe they don’t give any shots of the food. None. Then, trying not to hint at shippings - it’s a city video, people! No shippings allowed! But I think I pulled it off. In a small way. Sort of. Tell me what you think! I need to know if I’m going right or just going off on a tangent, (I do that a lot). Also your opinions - entire Pocahontas song collection… Avatar style??? Yes, no, definitely never? You decide!

I spent ages over this... My first real effects-attempt video. And story video too. Wow… A lot of things in one 3 ½ minute slot… The story is simple - Katara is in love with Zuko but he’s oblivious. (Now why do I get the feeling this has happened before with our favourite Prince… Oh yes. The infamous Jin episode. J) I worked hard on this so please comment! You know how I love comments!
