Matthew James Andrae "thatguyweheard" on youtube wrote this great song for his daughter. I simply couldn't get enough of it. This is a little peek behind the scenes in the studio working on this song for the video Zack is putting together to benefit cancer research. Zack and I have never met although some day we might. I sent him a basic (tightly timed) "bed-track" and he recorded and sent me back seperate vocal and guitar lines. Now the song can be re-assembled, using these tightly syncronised tracks and will turn out much better. Stay tuned for more progress.

This is a demo of making a midi file. I import a Steely Dan song into Sonar 4 then begin creating a midi file, using the original as a pattern. I am 50 years of age and have enjoyed working with MIDI since it began in the early 1980's. M.I.D.I. is an acronym. it stands for Musical Instrument Digital Interface. Simply put; that means it connects electronic instruments (midi keyboard) to a computer or sequencer.
