Features the 'Ardkore Cyborg!!!

This is my second to last video ever to be made for youtube. You see, one of the A-hole record collectors vaugly referenced in the credits in this vid decided to use youtube's short comings to bully me. From now on my videos will be content created just for Livevideo. That is, if the same cyberbullying on youtube is not allowed to happen here. Time will tell, it always does.

Partial tracklist:
01). DJ Hype "Shot in the Dark" (Suburban Base 20)
02). DJ Crystl "Drop X.T.C. (Remix)" (Lucky Spin 001)
03). Tango & Ratty "Tales from the Darkside" (TR001)
04). No idea but it sounds simmilar to Red Alert & Mike Slammer "In Effect"
05). This track rocks whatever it is!!!
06). I've heard this one before, it sounds simmilar to Noise Factory "Bad Girls" but its something else.
07). Citadel of Kaos "Narrow Boy (Retouch)" (Boombastic Plastic 001)

That lighting is off the hook! I had no idea moving head wash lights were around in 1993. I'm interested to know just what they were. Unless they are Vari*lite I have no idea because the Martin MAC series and the HES Studio Colors were not around yet.

DJmag didn't like it because I didn't hold up a piece of paper stating that this was for DJmag and so they didn't accept it. So to hell with DJmag I say, they're no better then Mixmag who hated on The Prodigy in 1992 for making awesome tracks!

Your DJ Name:
1992

Location:
Stanhope, NJ

A list of all the tracks you've played:
01). Ed Rush "Whats Up" (No U Turn NUT-014)
02). Rollers Instinct "Midtown Method" (Emotif EMF003)
03). Danny Breaks - Safari Sounds EP (Droppin Science 007)
04). DJ Zinc "Reach Out (Remix)" (True Playaz R007)
05). DJ Zinc "Super Sharp Shooter (Remix)" (Ganja 011)
06). Dred Bass feat The JB "Smoking Cans (SMR Rmx)" (Bac 2 Basics 12036)
07). DJ Zinc "So Damn Fresh (Rmx)" (Ganja 011)

A list of your main DJ equipment:
01). Technics SL-1200 MK2 x2
02). American DJ Q-2433/SX mixer
03). Korg Kaoss Pad effects box
04). Numark Axis 2 cd player
05). BBE Max X3 crossover sonic enhancer
06). Onkyo home amp
07). Sony home amp
08). JBL PB-12 sub (broken self powered amp)
09). Lots of Martin brand lights, yet they send me no swag *cry*

I doubt DJmag will like this because it doesn't follow their extremely strict rules. In order for me to adhear to all their rules I would have to be unemployed and I'm not unemployed anymore so I don't have time to make special videos on such short notice. So this is what you get, if you don't like it then thats just the way it goes.

Ohh right, *LOL*, the "dill beotches" thing at the end isn't direct at DJmag. I'm making fun of the gangster element of Drum & Bass.

Author: jungletekno
Keywords: DJmag MicroMix 1992 jungletekno 'ardkore DnB dj tutor Zinc hardstep jungle jump up
Added: Wed, 30 May 2007 23:29:02 GMT

Video codes to display this video on your website!

http://www.livevideo.com

It was actually a copy of an American light made by Meteor Light and Sound called the UFO-12. The UFO-12 is still being manufactured. It weighs in at seventy pounds, has a nineteen inch spin diameter and costs aproximatly one thousand and two hundred dollars USD.

I would very much like to get one, perhaps before the year is over. Unfortunatly the weight of the light kind of gets me, I can just imagine future back trouble from lifting this beast. Even still I've wanted this light for the past fifteen years. I'm actually surprised its stil being made at all and as a result this news makes me happy.

Its a dream disco light, its sexy as hell, and its a dying breed!

I would like to thank: vintagelightfx for the bad boy video. He is the owner of the Astrodisco3 shown in this vide. Unfortunatly it may have been lost in an apartment fire that he had (nothing to do with the light). Hopefully its still in working order.

His website:

If you own a club, or if your a big mobile DJ who would like a UFO light, check out:
http://www.meteor-global.com/

Tell Mike I sent you, then maybe I can get a discount on my eventual UFO-12 order.

My short Acid Pro megamix in the video consits of the following 'ardkore choons:

01). NRG "I need your loving"
02). Bizzy B "The Slate"
03). DJ Nex "Rock the Place
04). Land Lord "I Like It"
05). Mantronix "King of the Beats"
06). Pappilon "So Good"

The original video came supplied with cheesy trance... Yuck!

Tracklist:
01). The Acid Didj "Number 5" ((Telepathic) Played from Return to the Source: Shamanic Trance CD mix by Tsuyoshi Suzuki)
02). Universal Sound "Vector Outbound" (Matsuri Productions MPCD4)
03). Kent Friedman & Hugh James Sharpe "Untitled" (CDR Demo)
04). Yves Deruyter "Back to Earth (Rave Mix)" (Bonzi STM9500901)
05). Bass Chakra "Mycetazoa (304046 Mix)" (Matsuri Productions MPCD4)

Little known facts: Universal Sound "Vector Outbound" is based heavily on the midi soundtrack found in the computer game "Decent". Decent was like doom only it used early (non textured) polygon graphics and you could control your character (spaceship) 360 degrees all over the place. It was a very hard game but once you got into it you were locked in tight. Ever since I heard this phat goa mix of the games sound track I've been trying to locate the full PC version of Decent but with no luck. I only had the share ware version which had the first ~8 levels. I then bought the Playstation version but it has a completely different sound track which sucks. If anyone knows where I can get the original full PC version of "Decent" let me know.

Now about the Kent Friedman & Hugh Sharpe track. Hugh Sharpe used to live in my friends apartment in Brooklyn and Hugh would often times write goa tracks with his friend Kent. The chances are pretty good the track you hear in this mix was made in my friends apartment. Unfortunatly I don't hear from Hugh Sharpe anymore which is a real shame because he was a pretty cool dude. He even played goa trance at a few Hullabaloo parties in Toronto. Also he played the basement room at Return to the Source at the Roseland Ballroom in ~1997 which was the best Goa party I ever attended! That weekend I bought some of the CDs you hear in this mix actually.

The last track by Bass Chakra samples Harrison Ford from the movie Bladerunner (hence the theme), unfortunatly you don't get to hear those samples in this mix.

What really pisses me off about religion is the so called "seperation of church and state" which was suppose to be one of the founding concepts of the USA yet this never actually happened.

Tracklisting:
If you pray hard enough, it will come within a day or two.

It worked! It worked! The tracklist is here...

01). Greater Then One "I Don't Need God" (Wax Trax WAX9078)
02). Greater Then One "Joy" (Wax Trax WAX9164)
03). 808 State "Cubik (Frankie Bones Rmx)" (Tommyboy TB959)
04). Todd Terry "Warlock (Rubberdub)" (Forth Floor Records FF 1089AS)
05). Adonis "We're Rocking Down The House" (Trax TX120)
06). Phuture "Acid Tracks" (Trax TX142)

I should note that Greater Then One is actually one of the bigger rave bands of all time. Below is a cut and paste from their profile on www.discogs.com:

"GTO / artists (G)
Real Name: Lee Newman , Michael Wells
Profile: Lee Newman and Michael Wells formed Greater Than One in London, circa 1985. The group was created to explore art through performance, recordings, and installations. They released albums on Graeme Revell's Side Effects label, WaxTrax! and ROIR in the USA, Torso in Europe, and their own imprint, K=K.

In 1990, they started releasing singles as GTO (because it was easier to spell) and Tricky Disco (to explore more techno and house music). As the rave scene of 1991 exploded, Newman and Wells started releasing singles as John + Julie, Church of Extacy and Signs of Chaos. They would later release albums and singles as TD5, The Salami Brothers, and Technohead.

In 1995, Technohead scored a massive worldwide hit single with "I Wanna Be A Hippy." In August however, Lee Newman passed away after a brief battle with cancer.

Michael Wells continues to DJ occasionally and record music under various names including S.O.L.O. and The Man as well as many of the above."

The article fails to mention that Michael Wells released records as Force Mass Motion. For those who aren't in the know, Force Mass Motion is an act that pioneered the stompy Happy Hardcore sound in 1992. Only it was dope, fresh, and frikken awesome (unlike what HHC is today). If you ever get the chance to pick up a Force Mass Motion 12" or their CD album, don't sleep on it.

Atheist Acid (Acid House Mix)

      <media:category>Music</media:category>

I wouldn't call myself atheist but I think I would make a good advocate for them.

This particular file is called "The Man Behind Glass". It features kick ass house music jams from 1992 that are so dope you'll think your hanging with Chong and Snoop Dog inside a locked room with no windows!

Unfortunatly no matter how many times I tell him, Kleez just doens't get that 128kbps MP3s sound like a festering pile of dog shit thats been urinated upon by Lucio Fulci's zombie. Maybe by the time he sees this video he will want to get with the 320kbps mp3 program but I'm not holding my breath.

Anyway dope set and heres the full tracklist:
Club Culture - Dance
Nightcat - #1 House Rule
Baffled - Going On / Dreams
Depth - De-Dop
Terence FM - Stay Around
Lil' Devious - Escape From New York
Brutal Bill - Project #1
4th Measure Men - The Need / The Keep
De'Lacy - Hideaway
SoundFactory - Take Me 2 The Top (Original Mix)
React 2 Rhythm - Intoxication
Fiction - Organomics
Voodoo Suite - Music Is Moving
Gat Decor - Passion
Mato Grosso - Thunder (Remix)
Diceman, The - Quad
Inner City - Let It Reign
Jomanda - True Meaning Of Love
Rio - The Depth Charge E.P
Wishdokta - Bannana Sausage
Crystal Waters - Gypsy Woman (La Da Dee)
Crystal Waters - 100% Pure Love
Sample Minded - The Sound Of Redness
Sunday School - House Is A Feeling
Moods Of Madness - Moods Of Madness EP
Pleasure Pump (2) - Over & Over
Whatever, Girl - Activator (You Need Some)
D/A/C - Underground Movement Vol. 1
Gangsters Of House - The Gangsters E.P.
Es En Em - Dream State
PH-7 - The E.P.

This is certainly one of his better sets I've heard in a while.
