VICTORY!!! I finally was able to (mostly) fix the issues I was having with the project file. I tried to put it back into the format I usually use to save video files... and clearly there was a negative impact on the video quality here. Gahhh. I'm so sorry guys... this has just been a nightmare. I hope you still are able to enjoy this... I honeslty don't know what else I can do at this point. You may notice that there are very very small differences between this version and the version on youtube, which mostly has to do with the project file glitches. I wanted to try something a little different with the end, as well. I hope you don't mind! If you hate it, you can always watch the original on youtube. So anyway, I found the song a while ago on a video about the US Olympics teams, and I fell in love with it. With all the music by this company, actually. They're pretty awesome. Unfortunately, like Audio Machine, you CANNOT get their music anywhere. Even limewire gave me a hard time. There are two incredibly awesome instrumental versions of this song. I previewed them both for my Avatar-watching friend who shares my love for orchestrated pieces, and she told me to use the "no guitar" version that relied entirely on violins because it had more emotion in it. I am so grateful for her opinion sometimes... she was absolutely right. Now, I prefer this version over the one I had planned to use originally. Thank you, Emmy! This is a trailer-esque... thing. My Series Tribute. :) Alright guys, I can't take credit for a lot of this. I stole the song from umeko (umekograsshopper over on youtube). It's just so perfect for a huge awesome summary of the show, and the end makes for a perfect section highlighting the finale's greatness. Seriously, umeko, I owe you more than you are aware of. An unfair amount of my "inspiration" comes from things you've done, and for that, I thank you. I hope you choose to make something Avatar-related again soon, I've really missed your stuff! Ho geez, a shipping video. I apologize to all of you who have grown fond of my trailers, but I needed to mix it up a bit. Plus, when I announced my "character tribute" speculations, about 95% of the people who commented requested either a Zuko or Mai video. It's good to compromise, no? On my trip in Chicago, I listened to this song about 20 times, and all I heard was Maiko. This song had also been deemed a failed project of mine from a few months ago, but I thought it could use a little reviving. It's a good song, short, fast, and with a strong beat. It IS a Raven song. So yeah... Maiko. Along with being one of the fandom's most hated ships, it's one of my favorites. I have always loved Mai, and after witnessing her act of unconditional love in Boiling Rock pt. 2, I knew that Maiko was it. Maiko is where it's at, dudes. That is dedication. That is love, affection, and understanding that can only be seen in one other ship of this fandom, arguably. So I don't want to hear your anti-Maiko hate comments, save it. Maiko is the most canon ship of the show. And in case you're wondering, the chinese characters at 0:31 say "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." I thought it seemed fitting. Two words: Audio Machine. Go check them out, guys. They have quite the selection of epic trailer music, and their stuff is featured in pretty much every movie trailer that fits the genre. The second song used in this video was from the trailer for Hancock, which I saw recently, and said hey, that song owns everything. So yes. Audio Machine. Very good stuff. And a very special thanks to RiKanSolja1 for sending me the song. As great as Audio Machine's music is, it's nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find. Spoilers for The Boiling Rock!! Yeah, so I totally made this in a day. How about that! I guess I can't say it took be 20+ hours now, cuz it didn't. I even went out to lunch and saw a movie... and yet here it is, completed on my computer and just asking to be uploaded. Your wish is my command, oh computer lord. So, Boiling Rock pts. 1 and 2 pretty much rule all. I absolutely loved them... so unexpected!! But amazingly cool! Mai is clearly the woman of the hour, hence why she gets the final shot and production still. I've always liked her, but she just jumped up 10 Raven points in my book. Geez. Still can't quite believe the end of that episode... I know I only introduced 4 characters in this one, but the music only allowed for 4. But really, when you think about this episode, which 4 characters first come to mind? I rest my case. But yeah guys, BUY THE DVD ON MAY 6TH! For real! Avatar seriously needs our support here. SPOILER WARNING: Some WAT and TFM clips used.* Believe it or not, I bought this song in hopes of making a Zuko tribute with it. Instead, it somehow morphed into a trailer. Basically, it's a crash-course/season 3.5 trailer of Avatar. Because my family has recently taken an interest in what I do, I've been making trailers in a feeble attempt to teach them about Avatar. Today marks the one year anniversary since I uploaded my very first Avatar music video. It took 7 days to acquire one comment on that video, and another 7 days for a second. People have since commented numerous times, often with phrases like "From humble beginnings the great do rise," which can be taken two ways in my mind. I have many reasons for choosing this song. Inspired by brilliantlygreen's Avatar Preview! ----- ------ ----- ----- -------- ------ ------ -------- ---------- ---------- ------ ------- -- How much awesomeness can I fit into under two minutes of screentime? Quite a bit actually. This is me getting psyched up for September and a whole new season of awesome, by compiling clips of everything I love about Avatar, the action, the emotion, the passion!! Unfortunately, due to time constaints to finish and upload this video, I had to steal the song from a very good friend of mine, brilliantlygreen, whose Avatar Preview video completely inspired this one. And, as an added bonus, after watching both seasons over again with my friend (who is now addicted, ha!), I found a whole bunch of awesome clips I previously forgot about! Woo! And I thought I'd put some cool Jet clips in this too, since he really deserves it, after all the times I've showed him getting completely pwned by Katara... Also, I'm very sorry for the lack of original effects in this one. I was a slave to the beat of the song, and if I added effects to each of those hits like I wanted to, it would be over before you could recognize what the clip was showing. Still, I planned to lower the effect-o-meter a little on this one anyway, since I wanted to emphasize the untainted brilliance of Avatar. Kinda failed at the no-effect thing, but ya know... there's only so much I can take. ...My best work to date. So a few weeks ago I was digging through my DVD collection and I found a movie I used to love... Kill Bill Vol. 1. So, just for the heck of it, I put it in, and in that movie, I found the perfect song. Now, this was originally going to be a cool trailer thing for Avatar, but then I realized that Kill Bill really emphasizes its strong female characters, so I figured I'd do the same in my video. I would have included Mai and Ty Lee but this song operates in threes (how convenient!). So, it became Katara, Toph, and Azula, the daughters of the elements. All three are bending masters, possibly THE bending masters for their element (at least for their age group). And you just don't see many videos made for those three girls alone. Oh, and the whole "red-stripe-with-an-eye-in-it" thing was inspired by the credits of "V for Vendetta", which I saw a while ago and I've been wanting to make a video where I could use it ever since. And the slight frame freezes after a hit were meant to be a slight tribute to Martin Scorsese's "Goodfellas", but the song is too short to hold the video in one spot for more than a fraction of a second, so... that effect may have been lost. ...I like movies. This video is a collection of mini-ships. It's a video with a good portion of the ships in the Avatar fandom, because I've gotten too many shipping requests lately so they're all in here!! Request video for Shockerz. I owed one to Shockerz anyway because of the whole icon ownership fiasco. This is a classic Kataang vs. Zutara vid, with a STORY! So take a seat and get ready for a riveting tale: So Katara is with Aang, but she's unhappy, and starts thinking about Zuko and what it would be like if she were with him instead. That's the intro to this song. Next comes Aang's jealousy, saying, "If I had to, I'd put myself right beside you, so tell me, would you like that?". He is basically enraged that Katara could even think about leaving him for Zuko. The rest is Aang and Zuko taking turns and wondering if either of them can ever find their place in the Diary of Jane, in this case, the Diary of Katara. I was wrong, THIS is my brief summary of Avatar awesomeness. Basically, it's a glorification of my favorite fight scenes to one of the greatest classic rock songs. I know you have high expectations after Toph - Numb, so I worked really hard on this one to make it the best it could possibly be. Hope you aren't disappointed! Update: I just watched it here, and I'm pretty mad that the player on this site is too crappy to catch all the details I put in this thing! I put so many little flashes and stuff and just coolness and it never picks up on it! Boo. Well, at least you know... in your heart... that it's there.
